My only daughter is now a high school graduate. Friday night she walked across the football field, received her diploma, and threw her cap in the air. Saturday we had a constant house full of well-wishers. I hardly cried; I guess I did enough of that before and I bet I will still shed a bunch of tears as she gets ready to head off to college. Mostly, now, I’m just soaking it in. She’s graduated. And I’m extremely proud of her; she is a wonderful young woman who adds a lot to this world. Thank you, God, for trusting me to be her mom and for allowing me to get to know her, to guide her and shape her, and to love her.
