I’m going to write a book on Evangelism for mainliners as we engage the post-modern world. … I have a working title and a brief outline of chapters and/or sections. Now I have to get to writing … also … anyone know at what stage you involve a publisher?
You write your manuscript first and get as many people as you can to read it and help you edit (I’d be glad to do so). At that point, you start shopping your manuscript around to publishers.
Reverendmommy on the RevGalBlogPals webring, is the one who has organized our self-published books, but I know she has also had stuff published by “regular” publishers and knows a lot about getting things published.
I’d ask her advice, if I were you. If you go to her blog and click on the “about me” link, there is an email link where you can contact her.
And good luck with the book!
I’d love to share ideas with you, this is the type of work I am involved in.
